The game: Counter-Strike: GO

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a highly competitive, tactical first-person-shooter. There are two sides, Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists; the aforementioned try to plant a bomb and defend it until it goes off, while the others try to prevent this from happening. Competitively, up to 30 rounds are played – 15 per side, so the first team with 16 rounds wins.
Counter-Strike has a very strong competitive heritage. It was one of the games that shaped the development of esports in Europe throughout an entire decade, with CS 1.6 arguably being the number one competitive title and the originator of many of today's established organizations. At the same time, its successor CS:Source also gained a huge following, and with the release of CS:GO, both communities were united.
Both individual skill and teamwork are crucial to become successful in CS:GO. Modern tactics are very sophisticated and frequently rely on deceiving the opponent team, which requires a high level of coordination. Intelligent money management makes it necessary to plan many rounds ahead. In the end, the difference between winning or losing a round still often depends on one's ability to outshoot the opposing team: Hand-eye coordination and reflexes are key.
