Cup #2 – NiP wins again

10.09.2023

Our second cup once again features Europe's best CS:GO teams. Every match counts as they are trying to improve their position in the cup ranking – only the top 16 go through to the group stage.

UPDATE2: The Ninjas are unstoppable! In the semi final, they beat Western Wolves with 16-01, leading with 15-00 and almost achieving a flawless victory. VeryGames fared considerably better, but it wasn't enough to compete with NiP. The Swedes are the first team to win two CS:GO cups in a row – and they show no signs of slowing down!

UPDATE1: Day one is over, and only four teams are left in the fight for the first place. $600 and 100 points in our cup ranking await the team that is victorious tomorrow: NiP, Western Wolves, VeryGames or n!faculty – who will make it? Tune in to ESL TV at 19:00 CEST to find out!

Last week, Copenhagen Wolves gave the Ninjas a really hard time in the grand final, but the Swedish all-star team still came out on top. Not only the Danes are going to impose a real threat to NiP, though – teams like VeryGames, Fnatic or Western Wolves are also a force to be reckoned with.

Before it comes to that, NiP will have to face the winner of AGENT vs. Team ALTERNATE. After that, they could potentially face Natus Vincere, unless 3DMAX or our Go4CS:GO winner Clan-Mystik can stop the Ukrainians beforehand. Other interesting match-ups in the second round include Fnatic against the winner of highgrade vs. ESC and VeryGames against Vikings or walla walla wasp wackers (4w).

If this sounds like an evening full of great Counter-Strike action to you, be sure to tune in today at 19:00 CEST! ESL TV is live with Paul 'ReDeYe' Chaloner and Lauren 'Pansy' Scott, and of course we also have Anders Blume broadcasting for NiP TV, three German streams provided by 99 Damage, and more for you to enjoy.
